Auxis Thazard
Auxis Thazard also called Frigate tuna is one of the bonito fish. The Frigate tuna is a global pelagic highly migratory species found in both oceanic and coastal waters at depths up to 200 m.
Different from Auxis roechi, Auxis thazard body is fusiform, sturdy and larger in size. The head is black with irregular black bands above the lateral lines. The tail is short. The tail shank is thin and strong
Application
Auxis thazard with stable, widely distributed populations are considered as an important commercial catch in certain parts of the world being caught by hook and line and as a by-catch in trawl nets, purse seines, and traps at a level of 250,000 tons per year.
Auxis thazard is widely sold by market, made into dried/salted fish, smoked fish, canned fish and processed into loins/flakes.
It also can be used as the bait to catch bigger fish for the vessel.
Mostly this fish is commonly used for canning, but we can provide the high quality for market consumption directly.
