Redtail Scad

One of the Decapterus family, so it is almost the same to Layang Scad and round scad except bright red tail. It looks long and round with one finlet, and blue to greenish above and silvery below.

Production Process

We will follow the customer's request.

For bait, we freeze one by one in line, select and separate equal size.

For market, normally we will process in IQF. It is very convenient to provide customers with different cooking methods.

Application

Redtail Scad is also called bait fish. Red Tail Scad is the best in the scad family and is commonly known as speedos. Speedos are arguably the most versatile and effective of all baitfish species. Baits for sailfish, kingfish, wahoo, blackfin tuna and cobia, red tail scad has also been known to fishing catches of grouper, snapper and amberjack.
