  From May 15 to 17, 2025, the Shenzhen International Fisheries Expo, themed "Fishing into the Future," was successfully held at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center. As one of the most influential fisheries events in the Asia-Pacific region, this edition attracted over 450 enterprises from 20 countries, including France, Italy, Russia, and Argentina, with an exhibition area of 37,500 square meters.

  The expo highlighted cutting-edge advancements in fisheries technology. A smart fishery IoT platform enabled full-process digital management of aquaculture, while deep-sea bionic submersibles accelerated intelligent transformation in pelagic fishing. In cold-chain logistics, intelligent storage systems reduced product loss rates to below 3% through precision temperature control. Innovations such as gene-edited seedling technology and PP aquaculture equipment offered new pathways for sustainable growth.furthermore, Shenzhen Zhanshen Fishery's "deep-sea aquaculture + offshore wind power + photovoltaic" multi-energy integration model improved energy efficiency by 40%, setting a benchmark for green fisheries.

  The expo achieved remarkable results in trade matching, with total transactions reaching 700 million RMB and intent-based contracts exceeding 12 billion RMB. Through 36 professional auctions, 1,900 tons of premium cross-border seafood, including Mozambican scampi and Sierra Leonean tiger prawns, were traded. The signing of the International Tuna Trading Center project between the Guangdong Pelagic Fisheries Association and Shenzhen Dachanwan Port Company strengthened the Greater Bay Area's role as a global hub for fisheries resource allocation. Regionally, Maoming City showcased its tilapia industry, with annual exports of 2.44 billion RMB (accounting for nearly 30% of China's total), while Shanwei, Zhuhai, and other cities exhibited local specialties, demonstrating the cluster-driven development of China's fisheries sector.
