The United States Trade Representative (USTR) Waived 10 Tariffs On Chinese Seafood

The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) announced Wednesday that it will exempt 352 items from tariffs on imports from China between October 12, 2021 and December 31, 2022.
Last October, the United States proposed to re-exempt 549 Chinese imports from tariffs for public comment, the USTR said. At present, 352 of the 549 items of Chinese imports have been officially confirmed. The USTR said the U.S. decision was the result of a thorough public consultation and consultation with relevant U.S. agencies.
This exemption includes: 1) frozen haddock fillets (HS 0304725000); 2) Peeled frozen sole fillets, more than 4.5kg each (HS 0304831015); 3) Peeled frozen fish fillets, more than 4.5kg each (HS 0304831020); 4) Frozen sole (HS 0304835015); 5) Frozen flounder (HS 0304855020); 6) Frozen flounder (HS 0304835090); 7) Alaskan plaice, more than 4.5 kg each (HS 0304835015); 8) King Crab meat, 1-1.2kg frozen block (HS 1605102010); 9) Jewel crab meat, not exceeding 1.2kg frozen block (HS 1605102030); 10) Snow crab meat, not exceeding 1.2kg frozen block (HS 1605102022); 11) Other crab meat, not exceeding 1.5kg frozen block (HS 1605102090).
