Recently, the aquatic products industry has shown a dual-driven feature of policy guidance and market regulation. With the launch of the National "Fish Release Day" event on June 6th along the coast of Zhejiang Province, the release of 200 million fry of large yellow croakers, black snappers and other species not only restored the nearshore ecology but also formed an industrial response with the ongoing Fishery Week in Fuzhou - ecological restoration has reserved a resource foundation for deep-sea and far-sea aquaculture, while the deep-sea aquaculture techniques displayed during the Fishery Week have provided new paths for resource utilization.
This industrial synergy effect is changing the pattern of international trade. While China's aquatic product exports to the United States have sharply declined due to the 45% tariff, Iran seized the opportunity to expand its shrimp exports to China, with trade volume surging by 29% in the first five months. It is worth noting that approximately 17% of Iran's export products are processed and re-exported through China. Not only that, but many countries have also taken this opportunity to increase their exports to China. This transformation has objectively alleviated the impact of the trade friction between China and the United States.

The aquatic products industry is currently at a critical stage of transformation and upgrading. In the future, three trends may emerge: technology-driven, sustainable development, and global collaboration. Intelligent breeding technology is penetrating from demonstration projects to large-scale applications, and this technological dividend will reshape the cost structure of traditional breeding. At the level of sustainable development, the combination of ecological compensation mechanisms and recirculating aquaculture technology may drive the industry to transform from a resource-consuming type to an environmentally friendly one.
