Indian ocean squid scientific name Uroteuthis duvaucelii. Fresh specimens whitish, numerous light brown chromatophores scattered all over the body, which are denser on dorsal surface.

It is an Indo-West Pacific species of squid with a wide range throughout the Indian Ocean to Malaysia and the South China Sea, and also present in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea.
