Application

Under normal natural conditions, the seabass lives in fresh water. It grows rapidly, usually in 2 to 3 years, it can grow to 3 to 5 kg. The adult fish of 3 to 4 instars migrate from inland waters to estuaries, develop gonads in seawater with salinity of 30 to 32‰, and then spawn. Some species live their whole lives in fresh water, where they grow up to 65 centimeters long and weigh 19.8 kilograms. But these fish usually don't have developed gonads. It has been reported that megalobrama bream grows to 1.7 meters in the ocean. Perch is a warm-water species. When the water temperature is lower than 15℃, the feeding will decrease or stop, and when the water temperature drops to 10 ~ 13℃, it will die. In the coastal areas of Guangdong and Guangxi provinces of China, frostbite and death of farmed seabass are common in winter.
