The Amount Of Seawater Product Is 24kg Per Capita

By 2021, the per capita consumption of seawater products will reach 24 kilograms, and the capacity of the Marine economy to ensure people's livelihood and improve their lives will continue to improve.

The National Ocean Information Center released the 2022 China Marine Economic Development Index on Thursday, showing that in 2021, China's Marine economy will keep steady and improve, and people's livelihood will be ensured and improved effectively. For the first time, per capita consumption of seawater products will reach 24 kilograms, which provides rich quality protein for people.

According to the index, the per capita net income of Marine fishermen in 2021 was 1.5 times that of 2015, and the income of Marine fishermen maintained steady growth.

The index shows that the structure of China's Marine economy continues to improve. The added value of emerging Marine industries in 2021 will double that of 2015, and the momentum of emerging Marine industries will increase. In recent 6 years, the added value of Marine manufacturing industry of our country kept about 30% of the gross Marine product, and the foundation of the real economy was further strengthened.

China Marine Economic Development Index aims to comprehensively evaluate the development status of China's Marine economy, with 2015 as the base period and the base period index set at 100. This year marks the seventh release of the index.
