Golden pomfret in the many varieties of aquaculture in our country, can definitely be among the first-class ranks of rare special Marine fish, not only taste delicious and delicate, nutritional value is also very high, in Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian and Hainan in our country have high aquaculture value, is also very popular with consumers.
Characteristics of golden Pomfret: The body of golden pomfret is flat and tall, and it has high recognition in appearance.
Shortly after the Spring Festival, young golden pomfret can often be seen swimming in clusters in the estuaries of rivers in southern China, which is due to the influence of the input of nutrients from land sources.
The nutrients in river estuary are the most abundant, and the young pomfret choose to concentrate on feeding and fattening there.
When it reaches the adult stage, golden pomfret will gather in the middle reaches to the deep waters of the open sea, which is similar to most salmon and trout.
In terms of feeding habits, golden pomfret is a typical omnivorous carnivorous fish, mainly feeding on plankton, crustaceans and small fish and shrimp in the ocean. Although most fish are typical opportunists, the golden pomfret tends to show strong feeding activity in natural waters - it will frantically chase after food when it finds it.
As an excellent mariculture species, another advantage of golden pomfret is its fast growth rate:
Generally, as long as the farming is 3 to 4 months, it can reach the market specifications of 4-5 pairs, and the farming can reach 500 to 800 grams a year.
Golden pomfret can grow up to 10 kg, but the larger the size of the golden pomfret is not more popular with consumers, considering the feed cost of farming, the breeding cycle of golden pomfret is generally not more than two years.
As long as living in an environment with dissolved oxygen less than 5mg/L for 5 days, the survival of golden pomfret will be reduced to 90% of the original.
By day 11, the number of surviving pomfret was 50%, and by day 14, only 26% of the original amount could survive.
Two: breeding matters
1: Select the sea area
The selection of the sea area of the cultured golden Pomfret is very important. The golden pomfret is warm water fish, and the sea area is best chosen in the south of Huidong (including Huidong) of Guangdong Province.
The distance from the bottom of the cage to the bottom of the sea is about 1.5 meters to the lowest tide level, the wind and waves are calm and the transportation is convenient.
2: stocking specifications and density
Breeding stage, for early harvest, early sale of about 6 cm long fish fry, per cubic meter of water can be put 40 to 50 tail, if not eager to harvest, can appropriately increase the breeding density.
3: Daily management
There are mainly two types of bait, one is fresh and mixed fish; The other is artificial compound feed. Because the golden pomfret has a small mouth, the fresh mixed fish must be fresh, and the fish bones must be crushed to prevent it from getting stuck in the throat and being starved to death.
From June to August, the daily feeding amount is more than 20% of the body weight of the fish, and the feeding amount is fed twice a day, and the feeding amount can be reduced appropriately according to the situation at other times.
In order to speed up the growth rate, the daily feeding amount can be increased to about 40% of the fish's body weight and the feeding times can be increased to 3 to 4 or even 5 times. The compound feed can be fed according to the instructions.
② Safety inspection In order to prevent escape fish, the cage should be inspected frequently. After the typhoon, check whether there is any loss of the cage and whether there is any phenomenon of escaping fish.
(3) Eliminate the attachment of the cage, the cage goes into the sea for a period of time, there are dirty organisms attached to the cage, and they should be removed in time.
Recording and data accumulation is an important work to improve fish culture technology. Be sure to make detailed records of water temperature, salinity, fish feeding, dead fish, weather changes, fish disease, etc., every day.
